“I will WIN; Not immediately, but definitely”
At Shalom school, we emphasize on holistic learning that focuses on individual needs of each student, ensuring they acquire not just curricular knowledge but also a range of competencies and skills that will help them to collaborate and communicate in the world beyond school. Our approach is global and we aim to nurture our students’ curiosity, giving them the tools they need to navigate a globalized world where understanding multiple perspectives and solving problems is vital.
While we are ambitious for our students academically, we also recognize the benefits that come from a broad, balanced and well-rounded education, ensuring our students develop a life-long love of learning, as well as the skills necessary to achieve their full potential.
As per David Kolb’s theory, knowledge results from the combination of grasping experience and transforming it, called as Experiential Learning. The most effective way to learn and retain knowledge is by putting it into action. Our students engage in regular, self-designed projects that are evaluated not on right or wrong answers, but on the quality of effort, creativity, and commitment demonstrated throughout the process. Inquiry based learning comes into effect with students exploring the answers rather than teachers giving them out.
